The estranged wife of NFL star Emmanuel Sanders is making shocking claims about the wide receiver in a petition filed earlier this month.
Gabriella Sanders is accusing her ex and the father of her two children of having multiple affairs and gifting women with money and even a car in a filing submitted on February 6 in Texas.
That’s not all she is claiming in the petition either, stating that Emmanuel, 29, also lied to his coaches on the Denver Broncos this past November to say he was going to his newborn daughter’s birth but instead went out to party.
At that time of that alleged incident Gabriella had already filed for divorce and been granted a restraining order, but the two were back together once again after welcoming daughter Zoie.
Emmanuel posted a photo of himself and Gabriella with son Princeton in the hospital room after the birth to his Instagram account, and it appeared that the couple might be trying to reconcile.
That no longer seems to be the case.
This petition appears to have been filed just before Gabriella and Emmanuel came together last week to celebrate Princeton’s birthday, with a photo of the two posted on the 3-year-old’s Instagram page.
Gabriella writes in her petition, which was first obtained by TMZ, that Emmanuel ‘plays the field with numerous women whom he is or has committed adultery.’
She then goes on to accuse him of spending ‘thousands upon thousands of dollars on girlfriends and wasting the community estate, even purchasing a vehicle for one of his illicit affairs.’
That amount may seem like a large sum to many, but is just a drop in the bucket for Emmanuel, who in September signed a three-year extension worth $33milion that will see him play through the 2019 season.
This includes $27million of guaranteed money for Emmanuel, who was part of the Broncos team that won the 2016 Super Bowl.
Emmanuel joined the team in 2014, signing a three-year contract worth $14million.
It was that same year he married his now estranged wife.
Gabriella filed divorce papers on October 25 after three years of marriage, citing a ‘discord or conflict of personalities.’
She was granted a temporary restraining order against Emmanuel the following day which was later extended on November 7, while Emmanuel was given ‘limited access’ to their children.
There had been no movement on the case however since the birth of their daughter in December until the filing on February 6 by Gabriella.
In her initial petition Gabriella also asked for child support and requested a ‘disproportionate share’ of their assets, attributing the cause of the divorce to Emmanuel.
