There is no evidence that X owner Elon Musk publicly announced that he blocked Pride content from Disney on his social media platform, as suggested in an online claim that stems from a satirical website.
Posts on Facebook, opens new tab said: “Elon Musk Blocks Disney’s Pride Content on X, Says ‘Woke’ Isn’t for Kids.”
However, this exact line was originally published, opens new tab as a headline on Nov. 12 to an article on a website called Zapon, which clearly marks the piece as satire. The picture used at the top of the article includes a “RATED SATIRE” graphic, and at the end is a disclaimer: “This is SATIRE, It’s Not TRUE.”

Zapon’s about page, opens new tab further says: “Welcome to Zapon.com, your go-to source for all things satire, where we take a humorous twist on the biggest headlines in celebrity culture and politics.”
No announcement of such a restriction could be found on Musk’s X account,, opens new tab X’s blog, opens new tab, where the platform posts updates, nor credible reporting.
Disney’s last post, opens new tab about Pride was on April 18, 2023, and is still available on the platform.
