Jerry took over the franchise in 1989 and notched up a handful titles for the Texan side.

Jones became the first owner in NFL history to lead his team to three Super Bowl titles in his first seven years of ownership.

The owner was also the main driving force behind the construction of AT&T Stadium, considered the “crown jewel” of all sports venues.

The 80,000 seater was opened in 2009 and is the largest NFL stadium in the world.

Jerry Jones married his wife Eugenia in 1963.

The two met on a blind date during their college years.

At the time, Eugenia was a freshman at the University of Arkansas, while Jerry was the captain of the college football team.
